Diane Stirling was born on the 9th March 1956. With her husband Stephen she has 3 daughters, Jennifer, Lindsey and Brooke. In the beginning of the 21th century they adopted two sibling from Russia (Vladimir and Marina). Lindsey describe her mother as somebody, who cared for the well-being of her children as far as possible. If there was some opportunity to fulfil her children wish, she would try to fulfil it no matter what it was.
In her book “The Only Pirate at the Party” Lindsey talked about her first tour with Stomp on Melvin band and about Diane´s company at this tour. Maybe it was also because she wanted to hear her daughter to play, but mainly it was because of her “maternal instinct”. She just wanted to control that everything is going to be alright. It was mainly Diane who helped Lindsey with her anorexia disease.
She was also in the audience when Lindsey played in the America´s Got Talent competition and until today she is part of her daughter´s concerts as much as possible.
After the Stephen´s death it is surely the biggest and maybe the only support of Lindsey´s life.
